Junior-Level Acquisition Specialist
Description
A minimum of (3) years of recent federal acquisition or contract support experience is required to assist and support pre-award and post-award acquisition activities in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable agency supplements. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to support federal acquisitions independently under general supervision.
This position supports Contracting Officers (COs), Contract Specialists, and Contracting Officers Representatives (CORs) and contributes to acquisition planning, contract administration, and compliance activities.
The Contractor shall have comprehensive knowledge of:
● The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable agency acquisition regulations (e.g., VAAR and other federal supplements);
● Federal acquisition lifecycle processes, including solicitation, award, administration, modification, and closeout;
● Contract types including Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), Cost-Reimbursement, and Labor Hour;
● Price and cost analysis principles consistent with sound federal procurement practices; and
● Administrative, analytical, and acquisition support functions within a federal contracting environment.
Experience shall demonstrate the ability to:
● Perform acquisition and contract support duties under general supervision, following established policies and procedures;
● Support cradle-to-grave contract administration activities;
● Assist with development of acquisition strategies, market research, and acquisition planning documentation;
● Draft, review, and support Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO);
● Conduct price analysis and cost analysis and support proposal evaluations;
● Prepare acquisition documentation using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe for memoranda, reports, and contract files;
● Support contract modifications, de-obligations, option exercises, and closeouts in compliance with applicable regulations;
● Monitor contractor performance and review invoices for accuracy and compliance;
● Research, compile, analyze, and present acquisition data to authorized government personnel;
● Provide acquisition support and guidance to program and technical stakeholders;
● Execute final review of completed contract actions and assist in processing closeout documentation; and
● Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
● U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
● Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
● Bachelor’s degree in any field
● Minimum of (3) years of recent federal acquisition or contract support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience supporting contracts at or above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT)
● Experience using federal procurement systems such as FPDS, PRISM, PD2, WAWF, or similar systems
● DAU or FAC-C Level I or Level II certification

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting and driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, identifying trends and key drivers
● Lead budget development processes and perform detailed variance analysis against forecasts and prior periods
● Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives
● Analyze revenue, cost structures, and operational performance to provide actionable insights
● Partner with business units to support financial planning and decision-making
● Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership requests and business initiatives
● Support audit processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial documentation

Required Qualifications:

● Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies
● Experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar)
● Proven ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize insights
Preferred Qualifications (Optional but Strong for Mid-Level):
● Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
● Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools
● Experience supporting business units or cross-functional teams
● CPA, CFA (or progress toward certification)
